Speak openly and raise awareness about dementia

Sir Jackie and Lady Stewart attended the Wendover Dementia Action Alliance Christmas celebration in December.  The write-up in this week’s Bucks Herald highlighted Sir Jackie’s message not to be embarrassed by dementia, encouraging us all to raise awareness by speaking openly about the condition.

It is important for everyone to understand that dementia is not a natural part of aging, but is caused by a disease for which we need to find treatments or preventive medicine.
